Unit 66/Industry Practice

To get used to the software used a piece of software called 4D Cinema. To make this i went in stages; by making the faucet first then the knobs second. To make the faucet i started off with a cube; i changed the width height and depth of the cube to so it looked thinner and longer ( this was the base for the tap). After this i added four polygons to the shape and change the extrude to 150m int eh active tool dialog. By making the tap i had to switch back and forth, to and from the active tool dialog and the extrude menu. i changed the extrude and rotation of the polygons about four times until i started to get the shape of a tap.

When i finally got the shape i started to create the bottom of the tap (where the water would intentially come out). To do this i selected the the bottom two polygons extrude them by -150m; i then inputed a hyperNURBS to round of the polygon to look like a real tap. I now have the base and the faucet, to amke this look like a finished design I added the knobs in either side of the faucet.
