The border of the chalk bored was easier to make but the extra detail to it was a bit more complicated; firstly I started off with a cube, and re-sized it to make it look like the edge of a board, at first it didn't look like the edge of a chalk bored but once i duplicated it four times, to make a rectangular shape it started to come together. (I re-sized the top and bottom of the border again in order for it to to look like a rectangle and not a square.) Once I got the outline of the chalkboard I started to make the actual chalk bored it self. Out of the whole object this was the easiest to make, I basically got a cube and squished it to the size a chalk bored would be, I didn't make it really thin, it was just the right thickness. As the chalk bored was thinner than the border, it fit quite nicely inside it, to make it look even more realise i added a bored rubber, chalk and a small shelf that was built onto the bored on the bottom right hand corner.
To make the chalk I simply created one cylinder, duplicated it and made several others. I didn't need any specific materials to make the chalk look like chalk, I simply used pastel colours as the objects are so small, it looks like chalk both up close and from a distance.
